We always solicit motivated students to join our investigations. Students at the B.S. or M.Sc. level with background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics are encouraged to apply. The accepted candidates will work on exciting emerging research problems at the intersection of immersive communication, networked drones, virtual/augmented reality, and rigorous reinforcement learning. Our investigations target diverse networked applications and systems including UAV-IoT remote sensing/communication, virtual and augmented reality for human teleportation, 360-degree navigable streaming, small-cell networks and 5G IoT architectures, and multi-view imaging for cyber-physical devices and systems. Good mathematical background and knowledge of programming languages and software tools (e.g., Matlab, NS-2/3) is required. Above all, the applicants must be self-motivated to learn quickly and work effectively on challenging research problems.
